RENEWAL:
You can only upgrade by Installing the app, going to MyAMC (bottom), then selecting today (top), then swiping to renew now. It will not work on a computer or anywhere else in the app.

For those who are not aware, you can use Stubs points to pay for the Stubs Premier membership.
Strangely, it is not possible to renew a Stubs membership on the website; use the AMC Theatres app to renew. In the app, go to My AMC, then click on the Today tab, then look for the card where you can click on a Renew Now button.
I renewed my AMC Premier membership today and was a bit hesitant because the total didn't show whether I'd be using $10 or $15 from my Stubs points. After completing the transaction, it does show me that the renewal was $10, so the flash sale promotion was active.
