I have a pro account where I spend thousands of dollars every month with them for my remodeling jobs and I hardly ever get a discount. Out of the 50+ purchases worth north of $15k over the last 6 months, I've only received 2 surprise discounts that amounted to maybe $100 worth of savings. The only way to really save is to go through their pro counter bid service. Typically, if the order is over $1500 you should get a minimum of $7-8% off, which is pretty terrible. One order that was $2250 only netted an 8% discount whereas I got lucky on an $800 order with a 10% discount. It's based on margins as well as how much you spend there.

Bottom line is they've really tightened up on their discounting. If you are making smaller purchases, my advice is to stick with Lowes and use their discounts that are easily attainable. Just do a search on here for how to generate your own coupon codes. They update the thread all the time with new codes and instructions on how to generate are included. Smilie

They used to send me these coupon (in store use) all the time, last year and beginning of this year. I buy a good amount of stuff for my business every week, so it was useful. I wonder if they've tightened up on coupons.

Anyone else still get these $10 off $100, or similar via their promotional emails?
