One very recent review said the sticky pad is white. It should be black to help hide it. We have been through this with the Viofo A119 where they used to have a white sticky pad and then changed it to black.

It seems like there is some sort of law that requires one stupid person on the design team to screw the product up. There is no excuse for this.

On the plus sude it does use a capacitor with an operating temperature of 167 ° F and has a 24 month warranty where most dash cams warranties are only 12 months.

It needs to be powered from the vehicle. A 12V switched source of power. Could be the cig socket if it turns on/off with the car. Otherwise, you'll need to hardwire to another circuit in the car that does.
