Nice price for the DJI Phantom 3 standard. I've purchased two refurbished units and they look new - i.e they are in terrific condition. This is an excellent price for a quality starter drone for those who are fence-sitting.

DJI really needs some competition again. Their prices have stayed high on older products and their nanny state software is VERY annoying.

This has been the going rate for P3S deals for like a year now and I am actually starting to get irritated every time I see it.

Bought a refurb a week ago from DroneNerds on eBay for $329. This is the cheapest I've seen for the P3S.

DJI GO APP before P4 does not work properly with Android 7, just FYI. I have been using my Nexus 7 with Android 6, stable so far. Not sure if DJI did that intentionally since P3 are basically tank and people dont want to upgrade. I heard litchi is another app that works well but I have not tested that yet.

DJI GO sucks PERIOD for Android. It can be stable if the stars are aligned and you have a Nexus device but otherwise expect frequent crashes if you can get it to work. iOS is the only stable platform for GO. I hate Apple products so bad but I still had to bite the bullet and get a Mini4 just to have solid and stable performance.

I'm a DJI veteran pilot and am pretty disgusted with DJI in the last 10 months or so. As soon as they killed off their last real competition (3dr, Yuneec, GoPro) they have become a very imperial-type company imposing all sorts of crappy limits on their product that you have to take via updates and their quality has been shoddy at the same time. Not happy with DJI these days. I will jump at the first competitor to offer a good alternative in the $1k market space.

The P3S is getting quite dated in terms of video range and camera performance. I'd skip it and go with the P3A at least if you must own a DJI product today.

Are you using Litchi by any chance? Curious how stable it is compared to DJI App.

I do have Litchi and have used it sometimes without issue. I still think GO should be the default app but if I only had an Android device I'd probably use Litchi. You have to be careful about the 3rd party apps though because they use the same APIs as GO and there have been times where people have lost their drones because of an update and incompatibility/bug with Litchi and other 3rd party apps. Owning one of these requires a great deal of faith and trust in the intelligent flight controller and apps so minimizing risk is prudent if you ask me...especially when owning a $1000 plus drone.

Anyone have any experience with Coptersafe? I have a Mavic and was thinking about unlocking it.

I have been tempted to do this as well, but haven't pulled the trigger.

More of a tank than the Mavic?

It's $298 back in May, and I think it'll get that low again, maybe on BF.
