Thanks OP! I was literally about to purchase this dash cam until i looked up deals here. I have been using the previous generation z3 since June of 2016. In the blazing 100 degree heat or blistering -15 degree temps that Chicago reaches, the previous gen camera never let me down. Aside from maybe 3 random reboots and 1 time that it actually froze (I had to pull the plug and hold the power button for a few seconds) , it hasn't let me down. The footage is clean and actually usable to track license plate numbers, even in low light conditions. It does have its limits though, and a lot of movement would render the footage extremely difficult to read license plates from past 50 feet, but at this price range I can't blame them. In comparison to the only other dash cam I have ever bought, the Vantrue R2, I take Z-Edge over Vantrue any day. After less than a year, the Vantrue R2 started freezing and rebooting constantly. I am actually purchasing this new gen Z-edge to replace the R2 that is currently failing me.
