It is a generic code. The coupon was emailed to me by Smashburger. I have over a dozen email addresses registered with Smashburger, and all the QR codes are exactly the same, per my decoding it using ZXing Decoder Online [zxing.org].

You're not the first person to question these coupons, for good reason. The last time I posted a Smashburger coupon thread, over a dozen people all stated it was either doctored or benefits me in some way. I ended up writing some notes to provide clarification:

Oh wow been here a few times (always with coupon) and always got their burgers (decent imo) but didn't know they had salads lol! Do they count as entree? and could I do bogo 1 sandwich and 1 salad?

I received an email from them with the same coupon. The qr and rewards code is the same so appears legit.

The fine print doesn't say you need to surrender the coupon at the time of purchase, so just show it on your phone.
