I'm a bit surprised the 3070 package is $600 more than the 2070 package...I would have thought maybe $300 or 400 more...that would have been the deal.

edit: maybe because they are no longer calling them "open box"?

Top package A2070 with 702's is about $600 more than the last deal that was "open box", so might be advantageous to wait on them if you are not in a hurry.

The cherry link for the $3800 one (in the OP) is with the Yamaha 2027 and is still priced at $3200 for the open box bundle. In my opinion, this is actually the best deal here.

Only in stereo, it drops to about 60-70 wpc with all channels driven. Still the highest atmos preamp wpc I've seen.

I recommend adding a power amplifier for fronts, and also center if you watch movies a lot.

Polk lsim have warmer and laid back sound stage, and less efficient prob requiring higher power amp.

If you already have power amps and less than 120 wpc, I would go Klipsch. I had to buy new power amps for 707s because 120 wpc Marantz wasn't enough to bring out enough details in classical music.
