Can these cameras be used with Samsung SmartThings hub? I'm thinking no because corporations suck and want to monopolize their own products.

I have multiple of this model and some of their other models. Really happy with these and setup is super easy! Many options for storage from SD card, ftp, NAS to cloud. Cloud beyond 4 hrs requires subscription which is not ideal. I combined my recording through ftp with my raspberry pi as the ftp server. Works perfectly for me. Their Android apps for the viewer or their cloud are also fairly simple to use.

I am also not happy with the included software...Hardware performs well...Is anyone using Blue Iris software with three or more of these cameras? Care to share your setup cpu, ram, hdd etc??? Performance ok?

Their browser software sucks, their web camera viewer only runs on ie, and even then need a plug-in . Android app is shit, like other Chinese apps. Hard to find any good Android camera plus app without paying over 💯

I'd suggest waiting until reolink has a sale, Thanksgiving or So I guess.

I have 4 of these and they are great. I'm running them on a fire tv stick using tinycam pro on an old monitor. Motion sensor recording to Amazon cloud with no issues. Just my 2 cents but I really like them.

Smartthings does have a community device type for this camera but features will depend on what firmware you are running. See the thread for more details.

I have 6 of these cameras and they have been reliable for me, not requiring reboots and recording 24/7 to SD card. Motion detection works as expected/configured, and I haven't had trouble learning the web interface but it does require a plugin that works as an app on Google chrome, which is less convenient than just accessing the web interface with any recent browser.

The unfortunate thing is that Amcrest hasn't provided any timeline or plans regarding updates for the recent WiFi KRACK vulnerability based on discussions on their community support forums. I'm skeptical that they take the risk seriously and thus if you really care about security, you'll want to hardwire via Ethernet or go with a different brand...
