its your choice acer nitro 5 has total 4 ports 1- USB TYPE C port 1- 3.0 port and 2- 2.0 ports wheres dell has only 3 ports with back ward compatibility. acer nitro is lighter around 5.5 lbs whereas dell is 5.9lbs but dell has a 6cell battery and hits 11hr battery life whereas acer only has 4cell battery about lasting about 8 hrs. except that they are pretty much the same. also acer has bright cherry red backlight whereas dell has kinda dim backlight only on the letters. Edit: acer has 2.5Ghz with turbo boost up to 3.5Ghz while dell has a 2.5Ghz processor

it has a gtx 1050ti so you can play games smoothly on medium to high settings and even ultra on some games.

great for gaming in budget. Would hit a consistent 60 fps in most games with some tinkering in demanding games.
screen isn't any fancy but decent
battery life is pretty good for a gaming laptop, should get 6 hours in non-gaming regular use
