pretty sure hundreds of people saying the same thing isnt just fluff.

i personally dont anticipate doing anything but using the service as im paying for, and saving money by doing so, but to each their own.

fyi. no other xm promos will be released for black friday. there will be some promos regarding regular services but not xm related.

For everyone thinking of switching to Xfinity double play, keep in mind the taxes and fees on the cable can be substantial. The local sports fee if you get your local sports network is around $6-8 and then they charge a bullshit fee called the broadcast tv fee which is what they use to recoup costs from the content fees that the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS -- not NBC anymore since they're the same company) charge.

I asked about those. She said they are the result of gov't regulation and not something the company has a say in. I believe it.

Already looking forward to canceling cable next year...

This is kinda disappointing they aren't working to sweeten the pot on the Apple phones, when other outlets/carriers are. I was holding out hope for a small promo on an iPhone 8.

Do orders really have to be processed by a retentions agent? My retentions agent said that it wasn't necessary. He added the promotion to my account and transferred me over to mobile department to complete order.

Several others in this thread had the same experience.

It's not government regulation, it's made up by them and the regulations allow them to charge those fees on top of their advertised prices. Not only that they also are allowed to (and did) raise those fees during a contract effectively increasing your price and you are still not allowed to cancel.

mobile dept can do it manually since they have the same access to do so. if a loyalty agent applies the promo but then the customer places order online or via store or other dept they will not qualify. thats strictly from the internal info.

they cant guarentee in 90 days they will get their gift card regardless. id personally not leave it up to chance.

I have the same question but if past experiences are any indication, people got screwed when activating their $1 LG phones because they received them after the offer date. You can look in the old xfinity thread. I believe this could be on purpose to restrict the discount on the iPhone X.
