They look the same, but BF one doesn't specifically say Low Profile and I believe there are different part numbers...

Really?? It says it goes down to 2 7/8"... That's what i'd be getting it for - we have '16 and '17 Civics...

It's an issue if you're trying to reach the front center jack point. It's recessed all the way near the middle of the front wheel area. I had to drive up a 2x4 and then use the jack.

The top of the jack will hit the plastic shielding. The lower part of the actual jack clears it with no problem.

I don't know about the Torin, but I have the HF jack and it is fantastic. It is low profile, it lifts higher than most other jacks, and it doesn't take many pumps to lift a car.

Race Ramps are better. They are extremely long and are designed for low profile vehicles. I have a set and I have also made my own from wood. This is the designed I copied to make my own but I modified the design to give a bigger platform on top with a more beefy stop. http://www.tim-yvonne.com/mikemercury/ramp.htm

Yes, they're both all steel. TSC says the Torin weighs 94 lbs. The Pittsburgh jack (3-ton) weighs 72 lbs.

I have the Pittsburgh jack and sometimes pick it up and carry it around, so I wouldn't want it to be any heavier. If you're just keeping it on your garage floor that's not an issue.
