I would add that the ssd is m.2 sata3 instead of the nvme. The ram is 2133 instead of 2400 as well. Also the 51 kwh battery with the 45watt hq processor makes me think this will be a 5 hour battery life at best.
Your average person will not notice the difference but I just get a feeling a 1060 laptop sporting a hard drive with a nvme slot and low ram could be better if you bought the 32gb ddr4 at 2400 speed and added a faster nvme m.2.
A 8th gen i5 or i7 u part would allow better battery life with comparable performance while saving on cost. it would most likely have the thunderbolt and nvme at this price point. What I am saying is this price seems right/normal at this time in the laptop space.
The specs are insane... Its a solid $100 more than I'd want to spend but dang is this tempting.
3 month warranty....

Yeah the downsides are:
1) No thunderbolt
2) It's pretty bulky (0.9 inches in the front tapered to 1.3 inches tall at the back)
3) It has a CD drive (which could have been omitted to allow the laptop to be thinner and allow for better cooling)
4) Appears to have a fair amount of keyboard flex

RAM at 2133 vs 2400 is relatively negligible. However, SATA is embarrassingly slower than NVME (solid state has come a long ways in a short amount of time). I think that paired with the lack of thunderbolt are what's holding me back. Guess I'm waiting til Black Friday after all!
I like this laptop better than the MSI VR on Newegg that periodically goes on sell for $1049.99 with rebates/ The audio, headphone amp, durable keyboard justifies the extra $150. However, this version is 1.2 lbs heavier without the 4k screen. Thanks for posting. Overall, insane deal

Only thing that is stopping me is the fact that I'm really looking forward to buying a 17 inch laptop at around this price range...
Thank you though.
