Gift Cards work along with MasterPass checkout code. You just have to have at least $200 on checkout.

For Capital One users:

If you're at the newegg cart and click masterpass it'll have you try to sign in through your Capital One account, and may give you the card not eligible error. Just go straight to the Masterpass sign up page: https://masterpass.com/en-us/ and make a new account there, and add whatever card you want.

Then when you try to sign in through newegg it'll be confusing since it still wants you to use your Capital One account for sign-in. What you need to do is click "change your wallet" and then it'll let you enter the Masterpass username and password that you created above.

even if it lacks in deals, it's still one of the few left tax free retailers for most....

Yes, I do love the no tax but I just don't buy much from Newegg as I did in the past. Things have slowed way down. That's just my personal experience.

It does appear that you can pay for part of the purchase using Newegg GC. I just tried adding my potential build in the cart, then selected the option to check out via Masterpass. I signed in and continued through the Masterpass checkout windows until it brought me back to the Newegg cart. However, instead of confirming the order, I selected the option to edit the payment method and that then added the option to enter Newegg gift card numbers, while still maintaining Masterpass as the main payment option. I didn't actually complete the checkout of course since the promo code doesn't start until next Monday, but I'm definitely hopeful that we'll be able to stack Newegg GC and this promo, so long as you leave at least $200 for payment via Masterpass.

I don't have anything to buy, but I would combine with the $10 off $75 Amex offer.

Kind of sucky when you can't use other promo codes or the discounted gift cards to pay for part of it. So unless you have a good deal with a good rebate amount, not that hot a deal. Newegg has been lacking in the great deals this year.

I think the terms mean that you cannot buy gift cards using this code. We should be able to use a MasterCard for partial payment.

Not to mention their Pre-Black Friday deals have been more like their usual daily/weekly deals, just with more anxious waiting for possible planned components to go on Black Friday prices...
More agony when we miss that deal we've been waiting for...and then further more agony when you bought one today only to see it go down a much bigger discount the next day.
