For anyone who may care, I own a non-Paperwhite and a Paperwhite. Only the Paperwhite gets used. I would encourage spending the difference upfront for the better reading experience, although I truly hope Amazon pushes a S/W update to allow audiobook reading through the Paperwhite like they did with the "lesser" models.
