10-inch knife sharpening steel rod is for all types of knives, including kitchen, household, sporting and pocket knives; sharpens standard and serrated edge knives
The steel rod is made of carbon steel and plated with nickel-chrome; the fine surface of the steel rod prevents the cutting edge from damage when sharpening
Easy to use, right or left handed with an ergonomic handle that fits all hands; slip-resistant rubber bottom mean your sharpener is easy to handle and stays in place during use
Quick, safe, and easy to use
Use non-woven oil cloth soaked with cooking oil to wipe the body and dry it; if washed with water, be sure to wipe the rod dry completely after washing and hang in a cool place to air-dry; do not put the sharpener into the dishwasher

NOTE: NOT for sharpening knives. This is a honing steel. it realigns the blade back to center if you do it right. to sharpen you need to remove material, this will not do that.

OP, please don't include "X% off!" in your post, especially in regards to MSRP or "list prices". Those numbers are made up and have no relevance to the product or the deal.

When did this knife steel cost $40.70 to purchase? Is there something to this particular knife steel that sets it apart from other knife steels that cost far less than $40.70?

The product price is $10.99. Please don't include the "monkey number" percent off in your post.
