It's been about a year or two since everyone has been saying Sears will go bankrupt any second now... I'm guessing these should be good through black friday and more than likely to the end of the year?

They are quickly running out of assets to sell off. I know it's been said for the past 5+ years or so, but I think it is highly doubtful that they will make it through another year.

They still have about three million Craftsman ratchet sets left. Enough to keep the SD FP busy for the next few months. One ratchet set deal per day.

Worst case scenario you should be able to sell it to a museum in about five years for a small profit.

You're right. The Milwaukee area no longer has any Kmart locations, and only a single Sears - and retail experts predict that store will be drastically downsized during 2018 to a "appliances and hardware" format store that is something like 1/10th the size of the existing store.
When a fairly sizable metropolitan area like Milwaukee loses all (full-line) Sears and Kmart stores, that's saying something.
Not to mention, vendors are starting to bail on them. Whirlpool (including KitchenAid, Maytag, and Jenn-Air) will no longer sell their products through Sears. What's the point in having a store format focusing on appliances that can't stock the brands people are looking for?
Sears discontinued its decades long relationship with Whirlpool, which produced many of the appliances sold at Sears (including ones not labeled as Whirlpool). I wouldn't buy appliances at Sears any more, in case anyone is thinking of using the gift cards for them.
