Input from an active female, not an athlete or runner. I want the Alta 2 HR. Had a old model charge HR that died recently. For me the charge was too bulky and that version didn't sync with my newer model Droid Play phone. I do like the heart rate function, but if not needed, save yourself the $20 and get the non HR version. It seems that the Alta HR also has better sleep monitoring capability than the Alta.

BIG THUMBS UP OP! Thank you! I got in on the Charge 2 HR at Microcenter for $74.99 in-store pickup (with $5 off coupon from r3t@ilm3not) a couple weeks ago, however, I really was hoping to get the Alta HR instead at around that price as it was a gift for my wife.

My nearest Microcenter has the Alta HR for $74.99 in-store pickup in fuscia, so just put in a reservation and will go grab it with another $5 off coupon - and return the Charge 2 HR. This is better for me than the Kohl's $99 + $30 Kohl's cash since the tax is lower and I'm saving straight cash.
