Really the best nearfield speakers you can get. But you'll need a powerful amp to bring this out, otherwise get the wireless version with built in amp

Thanks for the heads up. Purchased from crutchfield, no tax at time of purchase. (Kefdirect mentioned on sale at all dealers). Will see if these live up to the hype and can give the ATC50s a run or not.

I don't know if it will be better than ATC50s although LS50s are good speakers.

10% cash back at Amazon right now with their CC and if you are a prime member. You might want to save a few more bucks. I already have one but couldn't resist getting another one at this price.

How about the active version? the ls50 wirelss

I'm looking but haven't seen a Black Friday deal for the wireless version. I was thinking about getting these to pair with a Schiit Ragnarok but the wireless version would save me $500.

Cool, good tip Keepitsimpleg. Nice of you to share. For the sake of $10 or so, I'll just stick with crutchfield for now. But great note on that and will take a look around the site had not realized about the CC promotion. For a minute thought it might be 20%, but just 10 as you said. You are happy with the sound btw? Thinking of plunking these on the desk and keeping the scl50s in the main foreground just to mix things up a little.

I have the Ls 50 on stands in front of desktop in nearfield with acoustic panel at first reflection points and it is quite a treat. I used to be an video guy but a properly setup hi-fi stereo system is a better experience right now than 65" Oled tv or 120 inch projector with 4k blu ray and Dolby Atmos. Fleetwood Mac's Rumours in 96/24 and Diana Krall,s Turn Up the Quite in 192/24 and Chesky Record's biannual recordings have brought out detail and emotion I didn't think was possible in stereo.Atc's are out of my price range so I hope the Ls 50 can in fact live up to the hype and give it a run for the money.Smilie
