If it were me I would prefer a closed model. Used this model and at least some rice gets stuck at the bottom

Aroma Housewares 8-Cup (Cooked) (4-Cup UNCOOKED) Digital Rice Cooker and Food Steamer (ARC-914D) 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0771CS...hAbQRRVQPJ

This was the one I use...since almost 2yrs. ignore current price. it was like $15 or ao

Definitely good! Automatically switches to warm setting when rice is already cooked.

Maybe not hot, thanks for posting the original price. But it doesn't get much cheaper for a good rice cooker.

Wow, and I thought the Insignia cooker at $9.99 at Best Buy was a good deal. That said, I think the 20-cup programmable Aroma at Target for $22 and change on Cyber Monday was probably even better on a value for money basis.

Thanks, in for a couple. My first rice cooker. So want to start slow. Seems to be good for beginners. Well if you follow the instructions that is. Had to order separately to get two. They limit 1 per order.
