I keep assuming the 960 is better enough to where I'd hate to get the 850. Then 850 probably better than all other brands. One site claimed samsungs don't last long, though.
The benchmarks show that the Samsung drive is going to last a long time - like a lot longer than it will matter for anyone other than possibly a professional video content creator.

Please stop spreading FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) when you clearly do not know enough about this product to comment. The Samsung 850 here and a 960 evo/pro aren't really even comparable - one uses SATA and the other NVMe - so of course one is faster if its even an option for a machine.

I guess this is the best we'll see this season. Disappointing, I was really hoping we'd be pushing closer to 200.

Wish the msata 850 1TB would match last year's BF price of $250. It's stuck over $340

Meh deal. A lot of ppl can get through Samsung for $250 with Unidays or $260 Corp Perk. And many more can pair with 10% Discover or at the very least 5% CB elsewhere.

Yes and no. Depending on how long you're willing to wait. In time, all tech prices will eventually drop.
