Depends what you mean by "current". Is it still being sold? Yes. It's it still their top of the line for it's segment? No. That's the A6500. But the fact that it's 4 years old and still being sold says all that needs to be said. It was a landmark camera and can still go toe to toe with current cameras form other manufacturers. Really, the only thing it lacks is 4K video. That wasn't mainstream 4 years ago. It's 50mbit 1080p though is still knock out. That bitrate is higher than many newer cameras recording at 4K.

At $380, you'd be hard press to find a mirrorless that can match it for still photography.

Great deal BTW, ive been waiting for this to popup again. Target took the a6000 off of their website around Black Friday. Weird that it popped up again the last day of the 20% coupon.

found the a6000 in target online for 499 + 20% discount total = 432.99 after tax

note to get this deal price you have to redeem a 20%coupone code earned during black Friday.

Tomorrow, Monday 12/11, for "Green Monday" Target is supposed to have a $20 off every $100. If the camera is still listed you may be able to grab it with the same price as OP mentioned. You probably need a $1 filler though.

not good for cameras, last dayto use coupon today,cant be used with other coupon,if you spent $50 blackfriday you got coupon
