Was wondering about this last night. Couldn't find specific model number to check on Johnny guru, but my findings for similar price point led me to believe thermaltakes in general aren't the best at ripple suppression; however this is a gold unit for a very reasonable price and if you aren't planning on testing the bounds of over clocking, I would jump
oh, and isn't this technically a semi modular?

Own one. Yes it is only semi modular, but the non modular cables are all going to be required for pretty much any PC build. Also I've never noticed any sort of coil whine or really any fan noise even. At least not enough to bother me, but my PC is used as an HTPC so I don't sit that close to it. Also I had a failure after about 2 years of use, but warranty replacement was easy enough.

Why do PSUs still have a floppy connector in 2017?

From the reviews it seems like the rebate is a pain

Use for mining, not for main computer. The price is perfect, and I have a 550 of this (powering two RX 580) that has never given me any issue. Yes, it is semi modular.

As someone who bought a semi modular on my last build I'm not doing that again. Fully modular or bust.
