How to combine Shoprunner free shipping with promos at Harry and David?

Does anyone know how to successfully combine any of the various promo codes for Harry and David or the 1-800Flowers family of sites with the free shipping on Shoprunner? I am able to add the promo code, then log into shoprunner and it shows the price without any shipping charges, but when I go to checkout, it comes back with the message that promo cannot be applied with Shoprunner.

I have the same question. How do I delete shoprunner to get the promotion? Doesn't seem right

Basically, they refuse to give you free shipping AND an item discount, saying that you can have one or the other, but not both...Pretty crappy that they do that.
