Saw that there was no "active" deal listed for this and had to post. There were couple of "expired" ones, but none showing that it was available again with the $10 clip coupon. When I bought it back around the beginning of the year it was OOS for a while and then snagged one at ~$58 (well worth it at that price, but this is a still at under $30).

Bar none the best head shaver/groomer that I have owned and I've tried numerous over the years since becoming follicly challenged.

I see a lot of reviews saying this is great for cutting hair that has started to thin. I cut my husbands hair but he has thick hair so our Wahl set tends to grab. Anyone know if these work on full thick hair? He doesn't like it really short. TIA!

Always wondered where I could get a "still" for less than $30! Cheers

Seriously though, this is a pretty good deal. However, I had one for a brief period. I found that it pulled at hair more than I was comfortable with (pulled much more than my trusty-dusty lithium-ion Wahl clippers). My hair is not that thick, but it is full. To answer the question above, I'm afraid that the pulling effect might be worse the thicker the hair. But I can't say for sure. If I were you, I'd at least give it a try at this price. If it doesn't work well for your husband, return it.

Not sure how it works as a cutter for non-thinning hair - my only experience would be that it doesn't grab on thinning hair that's being but down to almost skin bare. I've had some other shavers grab even on thinning hair while this one doesn't.

Ha! Yeah, noticed that after I had posted it and said, "meh"...Smilie

A still for under $30 would be a steal.

I've been very happy with mine. It cycles at a slower rate then my corded Wahl so you have to go a little slower. Probably helps to clear the guard often of hair, but it works well for my thick hair.

I think the biggest benefit of this trimmer is that it's easier to grip and use when cutting your own hair. So if you cut your husband's hair for him, then obviously that benefit is lessened.

This. The only down side ive experienced is the clippers actually ate the tips of a few of the guards teeth. They were prompt in sending me new ones however. It's by far the best clipper I've ever owned. Perfect for buzz cuts.

Alright, in for one! Used to do home haircuts all the time when I was a kid. I gave myself a buzz cut ONCE but it took a very long time, and multiple mirrors, so I never did it again. Bought this since it looks like it is made for self-cuts, and, I am going to use the shortest setting possible, so it should be a little easier, i hope.

I have never provided a review on Amazon, but did for this. As a thinning blonde I was beyond frustrated. Came across this last time and decided to hack it all off. 15mm on top, 12mm the sides and 6mm around the burns and to provide a taper. So quick, holds a charge and is so easy to hold.
