In the past, I haven't been able to figure out which cards qualify, and I've bought cards that the cashier said might qualify and then didn't. Is there anywhere it's written? Or, how to know?

I would say that if the cashier says that it qualifies, and you don't get the points, then go to the Service Desk and have them add the points there. Better yet, If there is a question about weather a certain gift card qualifies, purchase it at the service desk. They do have the ability to access your Kroger account and make adjustments. Especially if you are given the wrong information by them.
