What the hell are you on about. $15.98 isn't .16! You can do two per day per acct to, effectively making your batteries free. Use the rewards on something else you need anyway, a new printer etc..

Nice to jump into a thread insulting people and spouting nonsense.

SD is full of "cheapos", if you want people with more money than sense, find another forum.

I don't trust Duracell's anymore after finding numerous batteries leaking acid in low-power devices around the house, like thermostats.

So if I pay with my rewards certificate, it won't qualify for this promo, right?

I usually purchase postage stamps. The only problem is last time I went to purchase them online there was a hefty service fee added to my cart. I went to the store and they were selling them with NO services fee (the same price as the post office).

I've always gotten rewards for batteries, even when purchased with previous reward certs.

Has anyone experienced NOT getting new rewards certificate if paying with previous rewards cert?

Looks like the offer is void if you use the 30% off $30?

I keep hearing that in these threads, and up to now it has dissuaded me from buying. But I need some alkaline and I think I'm going to try this time. A lot of people (not you) have said they leaks and ruined their device. Anytime I ever had a battery leak, I got a wet paper towel, cleaned out the crud, and put new batteries in. These things don't have liquid acid like car batteries and I never had a devices "ruined".

Is there a rule that says you cant earn rewards $15.98 if you buy batteries through rewards from 1st order right? That was amazing last year

True. Not to mention that if the corrosion is more severe, you can use rubbing alcohol.

2 options for batteries that won't leak:

1. Rechargeable NiMH batteries like eneloops
2. Energizer lithium cell batteries - more expensive but they do last twice as long as regular alkalines
