Silvercar is having a promotion where if you use the promotional code below, you will save 40% off the rate without. I did a 5 day rental out of Phoenix for Q4 and it was originally $59 a day. With promotion code, it dropped down to $36 per day.

Silvercar [silvercar.com]
Promo Code: WEEKLY

I don't have screenshot because frankly, for whatever reason, their website did not show me the entire page and i couldn't scroll up or down. when I tried to hit the back button, it took me completely out of the site. that's enough for me to say screw it, i give up.

See only A4 as option, Q5 is what worth it

Just booked for the first time.. made an upcoming MIA rental about 120$ off and in line with the sh..t companies that had low prices. All majors were 125$ more. I've wanted to try Slivercar for a while, like that tolls are billed straight, no gimmicks like daily 7.95$ per day or the entire period even if one uses it only once. And who doesn't like a new Audi A4

Thanks for some details EXCEPT how much were you out of pocket (breakdown would be even nicer; MIA charges high airport fees)

Well overall it was 200$ for a five day rental including all taxes and airport fees. Majors wanted 325-350$ for the same period and no better discounts could be found. Sixt was possible at 240$ for the period for a Chevy Malibu or similar. So this 40% off is certainly an anomaly and gets me to a very reasonable price for what appeared to be a highish demand period in February and for a much nicer car and hopefully, rental experience.

Again thank you for details. Yet, you appear skipping - and therefore misleading the audience. Again, MIA sports the highest taxes in the entire region. If daily rate was around what previous poster described as $36, then how would total out-of-pocket be $200? Plus you said you accepted toll option??

What are you talking about. I put the information out there. It's 200$ total with taxes. With Silvercar it's pretty easy to know where the base rate started since it's pretty much the same base rate per day everywhere. And I didn't accept any toll option the nice thing about silvercar is there is no toll option. They simply lass through the exact toll amounts consumed. It's a benefit.

Of that 200$ ca 29$ is fees and taxes per the reservation details.

I stand corrected: I misread the original toll comment. So what was daily rate that the total came to $200? I'd expect $50+ in taxes alone

Well, it doesn't add up. Rates are low at MIA in January: currently $7/d on small and $11/d full-size; but with taxes still near $140. You couldn't be at $200 with $36/d rate silvercar charges...But yes, your car is nice

If you read my previous post this is for February. Towards the end and prices are very high. This will be my last response.
