I've had this exact one for about a year now, got it through Bed, Bath, and Beyond for about $10 more than the current deal. Overall, I really like it and get a pretty decent cardio workout with it. It's a good, basic machine that's well-built and without a bunch of frills if you're looking to incorporate rowing into your fitness routine. I use mine maybe 1-2 times/week, averaging about 1000-1500 rows/week. It's pretty stable, glides well, and fairly quiet. My only complaint about it is that it doesn't give a ton of resistance. I'm at the highest resistance setting and even at that, it's not that hard...and by no means am I an expert or hardcore rower. But for the amount I paid vs. the cost of other rowers, I don't regret my purchase one bit.
Twice as good at eight times the price...

I agree, but apples and oranges here.
I got this for $217 on Amazon via 3rd party, no tax. $399 MSRP is BS. $185~ with tax on amazon is still the best price new. Like New is about $160 right now.

I think it's great. I rowed crew in college. We used concept 2, as does every gym I've been to. But that really is an investment for life ($1k+), requires maintenance on the chain, and just is too much for most people. I am 210 lbs and about 6ft. I was worried it wouldn't be stable enough, but it is! I tried for a while without a mat under it and I couldn't go full force without some movement. Now that I have the mat down (basic puzzle workout mat) it is even more secure. I go on every few days when it's not nice out (like tomorrow). The nylon strap is strong and will probably be good for years, if not much longer. Seat is comfortable, and I have a sensitive bum. Handle is solid. The digital part is very basic, but I just care about it counting reps. It counts via the seat.

Any questions lemme know.

Anyone vouch for this thing ? Price makes it seem like it would be a bad idea quality wise

Fakespot A with 700 reviews... I would imagine their feedback would paint you a decent picture

Seems to be the best selling cheap rower. Got the squaretrade as well, original warranty is only 90 days for parts.

Don't use squaretrade. I had them for my Neato and it was the most worthless experience. The first year we had it, we could use Neato support and the only issue we had was resolved quickly.

After year one, square trade took over. We ended up sending our vacuum back twice to their preferred repairer. It's been a while, but they handled money oddly where we were worried they'd never pay us back what they said we had to pay upfront for repairs. Squaretrade never helped. Out the vacuum and the squaretrade cost at this point.

I looked at the reviews at the time. All happy people were just happy they had it. Most reviews with experience with a defective product were very negative. I cannot hate enough on squaretrade.

I just bought this last week and for a novice i think it's great i get a good work out and i was able to set it up in 15 minutes. The resistance is good I'm starting out on a 4 of 8 and my wife is on a 3 and We struggle after 10 minutes. But i did use my credit card so it would add a 2 year warranty on the thing. And now I also get to price match it down! I paid 205 for it on amazon so I'm even happier now!

Got this off facebook marketplace couple weeks ago for $80. This is a decent rowing machine and delivers decent workout if you do it for about 30-45 minutes. No too many bells and whistles. For the posted price, it's a steal! Rock

Personally I enjoy a good row when I'm at Orange Theory... But there's no way in hell I would do it of my own accord. Unless there's someone telling me to row 1200 meters before doing squats and curls Etc., like there was today, there's no way I'm going to do it!
