I agree, but apples and oranges here.
I think it's great. I rowed crew in college. We used concept 2, as does every gym I've been to. But that really is an investment for life ($1k+), requires maintenance on the chain, and just is too much for most people. I am 210 lbs and about 6ft. I was worried it wouldn't be stable enough, but it is! I tried for a while without a mat under it and I couldn't go full force without some movement. Now that I have the mat down (basic puzzle workout mat) it is even more secure. I go on every few days when it's not nice out (like tomorrow). The nylon strap is strong and will probably be good for years, if not much longer. Seat is comfortable, and I have a sensitive bum. Handle is solid. The digital part is very basic, but I just care about it counting reps. It counts via the seat.
Any questions lemme know.

I got squaretrade 3 yr for about $25
After year one, square trade took over. We ended up sending our vacuum back twice to their preferred repairer. It's been a while, but they handled money oddly where we were worried they'd never pay us back what they said we had to pay upfront for repairs. Squaretrade never helped. Out the vacuum and the squaretrade cost at this point.
I looked at the reviews at the time. All happy people were just happy they had it. Most reviews with experience with a defective product were very negative. I cannot hate enough on squaretrade.
Twice as good at eight times the price...
