Sears has the craftsman storage shed CBMS8401 storage shed for $499 plus tax and free shipping. This is almost the exact same as the BMS7400 which is the suncast version that is actually a bit smaller and considerably more.

The free shipping is the real winner here as the lowest price for the BMS7400 is $539 plus tax and shipping unless you pick it up in store.

Here is the link for the 8x4 from Sears: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-8%...ockType=G6

Here is the link for the 7x4 from Ace: http://www.acehardware.com/produc...d=17157036

These sheds normally with shipping are well over $700 so I think this is a great deal. I went with the Sears option.

They have this at my local store. It looks really small. They have a push lawn mower in it.The mower is sideways inside, and the footprint of the sideways lawn mower basically takes up all the floor space of the shed.

If you have a Sears nearby, you might want to go over and look at it before you buy it. The quality seems good, but other than a push lawnmower and a few shovels and rakes, that's all that will fit.
Should also mention the larger Craftsman 65007 8' x 7' Resin Storage Building [sears.com] for $779.99 w/ free delivery.
yeah i got this or some version of it like 3-4 yrs ago for like $300 or something

i had to pick it up at the store though and get it home
we built a wood platform to put it on

the thing that sucks about this unit is this:

You see in the picture how they show those Gladiator like white planks along the back? yeah well see, they need to sit on these very specific rails that only craftsmen make and despite there seemingly holes around the unit, they really only have that one spot and they dont go across the entire back

furthermore, it only comes with 3 shelves, yet you could theoreitcally put 10 shelves in total (3 in each back corner and 2 in the front corners i think),. Be prepared to spend another $30 for 3 more shelves.

lastly, what is annoying is the upper spot has so much potential capacity usage. I know there is some craftsman unit where u can buy a loft kit, but not sure if this is the one or not, but the kit is not for all units and doesn't fit mine - which looks identical to this unit

anyway, i own this or a nearly identical model AMA

I have the 7x7 version of this. Paid about $100 more for it. Looks good and very easy to put together. But you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to make the ground level where you're going to put it first. Otherwise a no brainer to assemble. Much easier and better looking than any metal shed and this is a good price.

Had a Lifetime plastic shed (from Costco) at our old house and it was just OK, not great. Wonder if the Suncast/Craftsman ones are any better. If so I'd be interested in one. The 8x8 one at Costco is too big for the side yard at the new house...

On every single site I checked for reviews for this and the BMS7400, the reviews are stellar! all 4.5/5 and up. A few people had gripes on minor parts not lining up but as the above comment, gotta make sure the grown is level.

Very tempting. How difficult it is to assemble?

You can get the 8'x7' suncast version of this at home depot for $799. You save $20 bucks and can potentially get delivery to your home with this deal.

The details of the shed appear to have quadrupled the depth of this thing, it's 4' not 16'.

I'm thinking I may just build my own out of wood using one of those wood frame kits as I need 8x7 or larger but don't want to spend $700.

I think it is showing some of the features of the larger shed. This thing is solid though. I was at costco and they were selling the yardline sheds last night and the 8x7 wood shed was 1500 unpainted. This being plastic I will not have to worry about wood deterioration. at 700 the larger shed is still a steal.
