Proform PRO 5000 Treadmill $1199 @ Costco

This deal is "Members Only", so you can't see the price unless you log in. Shipping is free. It's the best price I've seen on the 5000, which has a lot of upgrades from the popular Pro 2000.

Proform treadmills are made by the same company that makes Nordictrack and Freemotion.

Thanks for the post, wish the 2000 was on sale. I think the 5000 is overkill for many folks.

looking at everything the extra .5hp and the smaller screen seems like on the Pro Model mentioned the ProForm Premier 1300 Treadmill is the better deal? (500$ off) ????? considering the Pro Model is way overkill for most people?

$1,200 for this seems like a steal. The specs are fairly serious - definitely built for runners. 22x60" belt is very large, 15% incline is better than the typical 12%, 3% decline is an uncommon feature, and 4 CHP motor is very powerful. In fact, with that much power I'd expect to see a 15mph top speed rather than 12mph. Maybe the other parts aren't up to the task.

www.treadmilldoctor.com is the only treadmill review site I've seen that seems unbiased and objective and covers a large portion of the available treadmill models in the market. TM Doc rates this machine as a great value and high quality. They note it is essentially the same machine as the Nordic Track Commercial 1750, which was their #1 treadmill of the year for 2018 and an outstanding buy at $1,500.

A well built, sturdy treadmill that also has a color touch screen with internet connectivity and built-in web browser for 1200 bucks is a slick deal.

Yes, for folks who are less serious runners or will do only walking on the treadmill, the ProForm Premier 1300 may be the better choice for $200 less. But if you plan on doing any longer runs or faster runs or are a heavier user or will use the machine more than an hour a day on average (e.g. several people sharing the machine), the extra $200 for the Pro 5000 model seems well worth it.

My local fitness store has the LifeFitness F3 for $1,500 and the LifeFitness T-7 for $2500. Both include free delivery and assembly.

Does the F3 compare nicely with the Proform Pro 5000? I'm leaning towards that model as I like the way it feels when I run. The T-7 is very nice but it doesn't fold and is more than I'm looking to spend.

I realize the F3 has a 55" track but that doesn't seem to bother me. I'm 6'1 and the 55" seems plenty big enough for running.

Both are new (not refurb).

Edited to say: Have any of you taken a spin on the NordicTrack commercial 1750? I have two friends who have one and I feel like I'm running on a trampoline with how much flex it has.

Yep I saw that, thanks. I think the best price for the 2000 is $883. Supposedly including assembly. Will keep waiting.

Amazon dropped the 2000 to 1019 (has been 1099) for a bit including free assembly (at least in my area).

For me I'm debating Costco warranty + having to assemble myself (5000) versus slightly cheaper and free assembly (2000).

Again, has anyone ever assembled on their own? Is it hard to do so? With Costco we need to assemble . . .
