Maybe a wash, Costco get's you a 256 SSD but has the 7700; The i7 8700 is a significant upgrade, if you can actually use it.

Because they always try to make them look cutting edge with a "blazing fast" look to them, the way you might imagine a futuristic Lambo. But in the end they always just look like a hunk of cheap plastic. It's the cost of buying pre-built -- you're buying someone else's idea of a "gaming pc."

I don't know. Maybe it is because I am in my 30's now but damn if these pre-built gaming cases are not the ugliest freaking things. Some of these gaming cases make an Alienware look suitable for an office.
