Background story:
I drink about 4 cups of coffee a day. This SD discussion [link] got me thinking about the merits of using a warmer versus relying on an insulated cup. I've got a number of insulated stainless steel containers (Contigo, Hydroflask, Thermos, etc.), but wanted a mug that I could drink directly from the open lip and none of these satisfied me. So, I went in search of the perfect mug.
I found that 12-14 ounce size was too small. 16 ounce was the minimum size that I needed for my cup.
And to my surprise, I found from researching that mug handles were not needed for this size. In fact, mug handles got in the way in some situations - like fitting into car cupholders.
So that got me searching for tumblers. Most of the insulated stainless steel tumblers cost between 9 and 20 dollars. I found one for $5.77, the Latitude 45 Degrees S.S. Tumbler, Black, 20 ounces. While reviews were very limited, I decided to give the product a try.
I'm glad I did. With the lid shut, it keeps my coffee hot for hours before I need to re-warm it, which is more than satisfactory performance for me. It's a great size, fits everything that I drink - including 12 ounce cans of drinks with lots of ice. It has a clean look to it. It works for me ergonomically, with the exception of a sometimes hard-to-open lid (tips for how to handle this are in my YouTube video). And it has a nice feel to it. I really enjoy this cup and think that it is a bargain for under $6.
Thought I'd share this with my fellow (coffee drinking) SDers.
