This is a very highly rated pliers/wrench, and rarely goes on sale. It's been hovering around $50 and up for a long time. I missed it when it went on sale for Amazon for $36 for a few minutes. The pliers wrench has flat, parallel contact surfaces, and is basically a better version of an adjustable wrench, so they won't damage whatever you put them on.

Note: Sears has this on sale for 43.17 but they have been out of stock everywhere for a long time and will not ship from the 3 or 4 stores that have one in stock.

Note, some are saying to get Craftsman Knipex 2 pack clone. Those are a clone of the Knipex Cobras (I have them too and they are nice) not the Knipex Pliers Wrench (which these are). There are no rebrands of the Pliers Wrench

Completely different tools for different purposes. The Craftsman are rebranded Knipex Cobras. These are the Knipex pliers-wrench.

The Cobras are basically a better pipe wrench with teeth for gripping round objects, which will mar the work surface.

The pliers-wrench is basically a better adjustable wrench with smooth jaws for gripping hex and square shaped things (like bolts), and will not mar the work surface.
Nope, the Sears rep was wrong, the Craftsman ones are also made in Germany. "Made in Germany" is literally stamped into the steel on the handle. I have both the Craftsman rebranded ones and the Knipex branded ones, they are the same, except for the cover on the handle.

But again, the Craftsman ones are Knipex Cobras, the one posted here is the Knipex pliers-wrench.
The best I have ever used. Definitely worth it if you're on the fence.

Yeah, they are expensive, but definitely worth it once you use one. A lot of people will think that a pair of pliers at HF are $5, etc. But, no other manufacturer has a pliers that compares to the Knipex pliers wrench (which is kind of amazing since I would think that these have been out so long that patent must have expired on them) . However, I'm guessing that the quality needed to produce something this good keeps the others from coming out with a clone (even a cheap one).

No, I own the sears Knipex (they are worth it) but they are Knipex Cobras (with Craftsman label). These are Knipex Pliers Wrench.

Sorry, but no, there are no Craftsman tools that match the performance of this model of Knipex pliers. The cam action of these really sets them apart in terms of not stripping bolt heads and their pseudo-ratcheting ability.

I believe this is not correct. I asked Sears last week what the country of origin was on their pliers set and they said that set was made in the USA. Kippex is made in Germany.
