They show up on LG's list as not authorized resellers, but as many have pointed out, this should not affect warranty claims.

They will price match an ebay purchase so long as it is a buy-it-now and not an auction. Not sure how they judge the seller though. I was able to get a price rewind thru citi on this tv purchased through ebay, but it was Beach Camera which is an authorized LG seller.

Price match through Joes AV went through later.

I would have to say that buying NEW electronics from eBay is pretty safe since they strong arm people to use PayPal AND as much as I dislike PP for certain things that they do...They are good at issuing refunds for crappy merchandise.

* I purchased an A/V receiver from a 4 star company that claimed it was manufacturing factory refurbished. I got a scuffed up item that looked like something that I would find at a pawn shop.
PP took my side and issued a full refund plus shipping cost.

This makes no sense. You can buy this deal and then use PP to make it even cheaper.

It's literally the same panel and processor. Only differences are the internal speaker config is slightly different (irrelevant if using external sound), and a different looking stand/bezel.

Being an authorized dealer or not doesn't matter to the LG warranty, so no reason to worry about "trusting" the seller- especially for new items from ebay
