$0.005 per point for IHG is a fair value. I wouldn't buy the points if you are not topping off though. And there are reserve and cancel trick that you can play for $0.006 or $0.007 per IHG point if you need at any time.

Good price -- 16% savings... But always need to be careful on stocking up too much with these frequent devaluations. Hard to get value out of points these days.

Good deal, there's a Candlewood Suites in Galveston with very good ratings for just 20k points per night. 5 nights before tax would be $1044, whereas you can buy 120k points during this promotion for $600. Quite the savings, I'm sure there's a lot of other examples.
