You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Before filling out application read through all 20 pages of this thread. That was worth the time!

Submitted application couple hours ago with Business name- my full name, business type - sole proprietorship, following business related questions: individual,Tax ID- my ssn, Salary-my current salary, got message of pending review 30 days after submitting.

Received a call from Chase on my cell 5 min ago. Was asked these questions:
1) Confirm date of birth;
2) Confirm 1 year in business;
3) Estimated revenue for coming year based on previous (answered "at least $1000")
4) Type of business (answered "Construction" since I am in this business)
5) Answered "yes" when asked if this my side "project".

Was put on hold for 3-4 mins. Got approved!!!! Yey! Asked to expedite my new card. Was told it will come in 2-3 buz days

Thanks all you guys for GR8 advice! Without you sharing your experience I wouldn't make it.

Hey,

Do you know how many applications can you submit to Chase in the time frame of 30 days?

I've heard people say 2 apps every 30 days for personal and 1 app every 30 days for business cards. Do you know the right answer to this?

Thank you

Business: you don't want any Chase apps (personal or biz) in the past 30 days when applying

Personal: you don't want more than one Chase app in the past 30 days when applying

Happened to me. Don't use autofill. Type everything.

In for one! I saw no annual fee. Maybe they change it after the first year? No idea.

Applied last night; got 30 day wording; called recon on the way to work and they transferred me to the lending dept. Waited on hold about 5 mins for them to review my account and he came back instantly approving me for 12k. I tried to get the card expedited but customer service said to wait 48 hours and call back.

Should I call back sooner?

Kidding? Annual membership fee is $95 after 1st year. EDIT: this seems to only be true for the chase ink business referred Visa card.
