You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Ugh... 800+ credit score and I got the 7-10 status as a sole proprietor. When I called today, they wanted business name verification. I guess that's because I didn't just have a name only business?
If you don't have an actual business then you need to use first+last name only as business name ("JOHN SMITH")

Making something up will require proof that you own that business

I actually do have a side consulting gig that I filed a Schedule C for, but still not a separate EIN/business incorporation. It's just more of a pain wading through with the reps.

The legal name of that business is your first and last name. If you put anything else on your credit card app, then you made a mistake.

Have had a business for 20+ years only using my name, ssn and schedule c. Thats all Chase requires.

From post header,
"Earn 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year"

Does this mean 5% CB is only for first year?

I'm not Quy but call 1-800-432-3117. Follow the prompts then press 0 I believe to speak to a rep. He/she probably will say it's under review and to call back but if you ask if someone can review it right now, he/she will prob connect you to a lender who will either approve/reject you.

That's what I did because I got tired of waiting after 1-2 days, lol. Pretty painless.

I called 18002436010. A rep with Chase picked up immediately, provided him my SSN and he saw that I applied about 30 minutes prior and said that it was within pending status. I asked if there was any way I can expedite the pending status so he placed me on a 2 minute hold came back and told me I was approved and said my card should arrive in two weeks. Pretty painless.

I have a Ink Business Preferred card that I'm looking to close as annual fee is approaching. I have 95000 UR Points on it. Can I apply for this Business Cash card and move my points to this card and close the Preferred account?
