You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Do purchases from an authorized card user count towards your 3000 spent in the first three months?

Yes, charges by an AU card count the same as charges that you make with your own card.

31 days since last app -- better off spacing out 2-3 months if you want to play it safe

So I was planning on downgrading my Ink Bus Preferred card to this card,,, but I was wondering.... If I apply for this card... qualify for the reward and then ask to consolidate my other card to this one,,, will they allow that? And, will it affect my credit score to do that?

Chase biz cards don't show up on credit report -- has nothing to do with your credit score except the hard inquiry when applying

Do they allow you to combine/consolidate the 2 accounts into just one?

No, but you can ask to have most of the credit line from one of the cards to the other, and then close out the low CL card.

I applied for it and was denied. Reason being too many cards opened during last 2 years (just 3, definitely below 5/24 rule), and too high of combined credit limits. Called the recon line, same thing. Asked to lower my credit limit, but Chase rep replied can't do it. Any suggestions? Thanks
