You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Has anyone reached the minimum spend with this card by paying their taxes? I am thinking about doing this but had a question about the language on the card agreement. It says that 3rd party services are treated as cash advances (which have a fee and are not eligible for the 12 months no APR). Sites that allow you to pay federal taxes with a credit card will count as 3rd party services, correct?

Nope. It works fine.

No- this requires excellent credit 760+. Even without business people with 800+ getting approved.

If I have 3 Chase credit cards, will I be able to get this? I remember when I was applying for the 3rd card about six years ago, Chase denied my application. When I called to inquire why they denied, I've been told that I already have 2 credit cards and what is the reason I'm applying for the 3rd card. Looks like it was suspicious to them and red flaged my application. At the end it was approved but not before Chase gave me thorough interrogation.

This is a business card- if your other cards are personal they'd have nothing to do with applying for this one (other than any impact on 5/24, or if your total credit line with chase is high relative to your income- but you can easily fix that second one just asking them to lower one or more limits on existing cards before applying)

How long did it take for chase to give you the $500 credit? I am like $4500 into it and still waiting

Did they give you $500 or is it all in points that you need to convert?

I used to see the points pending pretty fast, but the last couple bonuses haven't showed up until the statement closes.

It's points. Which is worth a decent bit more than $500 if used for travel (a lot more with transfers for premium airfares)

I received my Ink Preferred in December. Spent the $5,000 needed to get the 80k pts just the other day. From my understanding I should wait til I get the points before applying for Ink Cash to start on spending to get the $500 of pts. Is this correct?

Nope -- min 31 days from last Chase app if you're in a hurry

Better off spreading Chase apps every 2-4 months to avoid getting too many cards too quickly -- risking a Chase shutdown

Can I pay my income tax with this credit card and meet my 5K limit? I am currently holding more than 5K this year.
