You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Great news as I was afraid me buying one of the AMEX gift cards would be counted as a cash advance some how.. I've read that somewhere but if you know for a fact I'm going that route then. Thanks again a repped!

Navy Federal (All Navy Federal credit cards qualifies) have 1.99% Apr for 12 months promotion going on right now. 0 FEE for balance transfer.

I am a new ebay/online seller and have a pretty shit credit score due to some old hospital bills and fraud that are being removed. I only owe $113 to student loans ($60 a month) and then I'm debt free. Would you recommend I apply for this card or which one would you recommend? I don't have any other credit cards open. Sorry for the 20 Q's but you seem to know your stuff. Any help would be appreciated!

Does anyone know if I can still apply a Ink Cash and still receive the sign up bonus when I already have a Ink Cash card which was downgraded from a Ink Cash Preferred?
There's no such thing as Cash Preferred.
There's Cash, Unlimited, and Preferred.

The value of this card is the 5% paid back on utility bills and office stores.

If you will only have one card, I would pick the Bank of America 3% Cash Rewards World Master Card because you have more options to pick your 3% back and it comes with basic consumer protections.

The 3% is limited to the first $2500 per quarter, so I would not recommended it for heavy spenders.

Looking for any feedback. So if I already have two credit cards, Citi Costco and Chase Amazon. I spend between $800 - $1200 monthly on a card (primarily my Costco card and pay it off each month); I have 790 - 810 credit scores; I don't travel or stay in hotels a lot, but I like to fly to see friends occasionally, is there a rewards card that would be a good card for someone in my situation? I'm fairly new to the rewards thing but I'm very interested and I would greatly appreciate any help.

I would start hitting Chase Biz cards such as Ink Biz Cash or Ink Biz Unlimited. If you can spend $5K in 3 months, get the Ink Biz Preferred first

My credit score is 800+ and I currently have Chase Sapphire Preferred . Looking to add to add 2 more cards to my rooster. Was thinking about a Southwest Card (75k Bonus) with 5k spend in 6 months and any of the Chase Business Cards. Does anyone know if I will be able to get bonuses on both? Or they are subject to some shitty Chase rule of not getting a bonus in 24 months of any other bonus. Any insights will be helpful in terms of which Chase Business Card to get.

I got one card more than 2 years ago, the one with 99 fee. Am I eligible for this card and bonus again?
I went to chase branch to open new business checking bank account with a new name, and they declined the $500 bonus for new account. Which is only for new customers of chase, or who hasn't been a customer for 1 yr I think. What happens with CC bonus if I already have this card.
