You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

After charging the amounts needed for the bonux points, which card between this Ink visa and freedom flex is better to use for everyday purchases? Are they pretty much the same in that both will accrue ur points in somewhat similar manner?

Each chase card offers different reward rates in different categories.

To maximize rewards you'd use more than 1 card, as appropriate for what you're buying.

these people are pain in the ass... made me jump through hoops and sending them stuff.... then only get 3K credit line for a business.
$3k is the same for just about everyone.
It's a start though. From here on, it will be easier to get a business card.

I take it you don't have a business... I got my line credit increased but I had to talk to somebody and give them more numbers.

I called in and asked for an increase...was immediately shot down. I asked to speak to leading team and they told me it was because I didn't haven't any other accounts with Chase.....Damn...its hard to want to start a business relationship with someone that makes you jump through hoops!!
Agreed, and best of luck to you! I got another email confirmation but again no actual info of use in it. I have another Chase account that is my primary card - wish me luck.

I called back in and requested to speak to the Lending group again. Was able to get a review completed and they increased my credit limit. Said the 3k was from automated system. I guess they must be getting a lot of fraud to make it so hard to get a usable account.

just found out chase closed my card (this exact chase ink business cash credit card) due to inactivity (10 months no usage). I had the card for almost 20 years with almost $20k limit. Just called them and they said they sent me a letter to let me know to call them within 15 days to reopen. the deadline just passed so it's permanent closure.
Anyone knows it you can get them to reopen the account? this will definitely affect my credit history...

Chase business cards don't show up on your personal credit reports.

I applied for this card weeks ago. They did a hard pull on my account. They still have not emailed me or sent me any mail stating whether or not I got approved - is there anyway I can check?

I posted this on Doctor of Credit.
– I tried applying for a Ink Preferred in 2019 using an Ebay account. Duh !! They sent me letter asking me to prove my business. No can do. Denied.
– Feb 2020. Southwest business/personal deal. I read about getting business card by using your name. Tried it and got approved for both the Southwest business and personal. I forgot what I used for business but I pretty much faked the entire thing(In my head I felt like I faked the whole business aspect).
– A DUH !! moment came to me last week when I realized I had a "legit" business this entire time. I have a rental for 6 yrs going and I have legit income statement and 1099 for such business..
– So last week(9/24) I applied for the Ink Umlimited stating $16k in revenue, 6 yrs long and Sole Proprietor. Got an email today(9/29) "approved". Card appeared in my business Chase online account with a $3K limit.
Super excited that I feel like I have a legit business and I can apply for many more business cards years to come.
– FYI. 822 score. Chase customer since 2008. Many many Chase personal cards through the years. Freedom, Preferred, Reserved, United, Marriott, Hyatt, Southwest.
Currently only have Southwest, Reserved, and just turned my Preferred into no-fee Sapphire. Business Southwest and now Ink Unlimited
I feel like having a business CC already helped me in this instant

Congratulations!! Did you have to give any proof for that ? I have a rental as well but dont have LLC, so I need to apply as Sole Proprietor ..
Thanks in advance

This CC is a sweet deal, I have one myself and use it to pay for my phone/internet. You can also use to purchase iPhones etc (depends on the MCC for the merchant where you're purchasing though)! Enjoy folks
