You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Do I have to have good credit myself if I use my EIN? I'm a new business owner.

Yes. Even with an EIN, you will also need to add your SSN to the application and Chase will pull your credit, since these are by default cards with a personal guarantee.

I opened ink unlimited last year. What is the restriction on the $500 bonus? 2yr/24month?

This is the Ink Business Cash card, different product so you can get the bonus for this card. Ink cards are not like the personal Sapphire cards that "share" the bonuses.

Could you explain what you mean? What is the process and benefits, etc? Thanks!

[EDIT]: Actually, disregard my post. I found a great article that covers the process and benefits and reasons to do this. https://thepointsguy.com/guide/tr...-accounts/

Just got approved! After being declined once in April. Looks like Chase is indeed easing off their restrictions at least for existing biz card customers.
