Lowe's is reactivating its 11% rebate sale for 3/29/18-4/4/18. Only for select stores, often with a Menards nearby

https://www.lowes.com/pdf/11percentrebate.pdf

Eligible Lowe's stores are on page 3 of the link above. You can submit your rebate online and bypass mailing it in, unlike Menards where you have to mail it in.

Home Depot did not update their website with a link for a rebate for 3/29-4/4 (edit 3/29/18)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

As op stated:

Only for select stores with a Menards nearby.

Link for Home Depot: https://www.homedepotrebates11percent.com/#/home

Check to make sure they don't add it later.

SWEET! I didn't realize that HD did this too. I have a $700 purchase to make that I'll hold off on making.

Question is, will I have to physically go to a Home Depot and have them order the online items that I need to purchase to make this work?

Both Lowe's and HD specifically says it's only good to in-store purchases on their rebate forms.

Why go to Lowes or HD when Menards is cheaper for everything? 11% off menards prices is much better than 11% off double menards prices (which is what the other two stores charge for things). Not to mention John Menard loves mankind, you should patronize his store just to experience the love he bestows on mannkind. He frequently gives things away for free (after rebate), his black-friday sales are second-to-none, and his Xmas displays are spectacular.
HD's CEO on the other hand is one of the most vile people on earth, his contempt for all mankind including you customers is blistering.

I indicated it's near a Menards...so if you don't have a Menards near you, then it doesn't apply.

well....yes and no
Menards is probably the cheapest on the items that the other stores actually have...most of the time

However...the quality of items at both Lowes and Home Depot is better than Menards
Menards will have a lot of brands that you will have never heard of...sometimes that makes a difference and sometimes not
Also..ask a company that is a vendor to Menards how they are treated

Menards ( and Walmart) are some of the most difficult customers to their suppliers
Chargeback payments first and then ask questions later and put the burden on the supplier

Yep I used to buy from Menard's a lot, but then saw after about 3 years the products wearing out- store brand tools, lighting, ceiling fans, etc.

So I now go with name brands found at Lowe's Home Depot or smaller specialty stores for just lighting or just tools. If you compare name brand to Menard's products you can definitely see the quality difference.

I was getting globe lighting for our new house, and bought a light at Menards and needed another of the same, and ended up going to Lowe's to get the other one. Menards light- the metal flush mount was flimsy and could easily be bent. For about $2 more the Lowe's light was very sturdy and didn't bend at all...well worth the extra money.

I have had good luck doubling this with military discount at lowes.

Also some brands such as Ridgid you can only buy homedepot.

Menards is awesome, better selection and quality in my opinion on lumber, flooring etc.

I used to agree with that but we've ended up replacing so many Menard's items since we remodeled in 2012. Their products don't last as long as they used to. Plus, this will pair nicely with the Amex offer.
