Lowe's is reactivating its 11% rebate sale for 3/29/18-4/4/18. Only for select stores, often with a Menards nearby
https://www.lowes.com/pdf/11percentrebate.pdf
Eligible Lowe's stores are on page 3 of the link above. You can submit your rebate online and bypass mailing it in, unlike Menards where you have to mail it in.
Home Depot did not update their website with a link for a rebate for 3/29-4/4 (edit 3/29/18)

Question is, will I have to physically go to a Home Depot and have them order the online items that I need to purchase to make this work?

HD's CEO on the other hand is one of the most vile people on earth, his contempt for all mankind including you customers is blistering.
I indicated it's near a Menards...so if you don't have a Menards near you, then it doesn't apply.

Menards is probably the cheapest on the items that the other stores actually have...most of the time
However...the quality of items at both Lowes and Home Depot is better than Menards
Menards will have a lot of brands that you will have never heard of...sometimes that makes a difference and sometimes not
Also..ask a company that is a vendor to Menards how they are treated
Menards ( and Walmart) are some of the most difficult customers to their suppliers
Chargeback payments first and then ask questions later and put the burden on the supplier

Entire midwest and some states outside of that area as well

So I now go with name brands found at Lowe's Home Depot or smaller specialty stores for just lighting or just tools. If you compare name brand to Menard's products you can definitely see the quality difference.
I was getting globe lighting for our new house, and bought a light at Menards and needed another of the same, and ended up going to Lowe's to get the other one. Menards light- the metal flush mount was flimsy and could easily be bent. For about $2 more the Lowe's light was very sturdy and didn't bend at all...well worth the extra money.
Also some brands such as Ridgid you can only buy homedepot.
Menards is awesome, better selection and quality in my opinion on lumber, flooring etc.
