What was the deal last year at Chipotle for this?
I think what they mean is you have to buy a drink at the restaurant in order to get this deal, and they would normally only drink water, so they have to spend extra money to buy the drink and so it's not such a great deal. You wouldn't be able to get the deal if you buy the drink somewhere else.
