Agreed, and if you don't travels you shouldn't have most of the premium chase cards.
Looks like the only use would be for folks with Chase Freedom but can't travel (perhaps due to work/family obligations).

Normally I'd agree. But some of us hate travel.
You can do even better than 15% cash-back-equivalent toward airfare for some premium airfare options on other airlines, but unlike the Southwest one that does take more than 5 minutes. (though not always a lot more).
No, but if you travel then you should have a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve, in which case the Freedoom points would transfer and be valued higher when redeemed for travel.
