Takes too much time and effort to figure out how to use UR rewards for travel other than just booking flights/hotels/rentals through their portal, but typically can find cheaper than all of what they offer for those three things on other websites anyways.

Transferring to Hyatt and using it takes like 5 minutes if even.

Chase freedom is good for travel???
It's excellent for it when combined with one of the premium Chase cards- in the above Southwest example for instance you'd be getting roughly 15% cash back on Freedom 5x spend if used toward Southwest airfare- versus only 5% "real" cash taking the Freedom rewards as statement credits.
You can do even better than 15% cash-back-equivalent toward airfare for some premium airfare options on other airlines, but unlike the Southwest one that does take more than 5 minutes. (though not always a lot more).
No, but if you travel then you should have a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve, in which case the Freedoom points would transfer and be valued higher when redeemed for travel.

Agreed, and if you don't travels you shouldn't have most of the premium chase cards.
Looks like the only use would be for folks with Chase Freedom but can't travel (perhaps due to work/family obligations).

Normally I'd agree. But some of us hate travel.
