Samsung SS drives score better than most other brands on benchmarks, and they are usually priced higher than other brands. Most people probably wouldn't notice the difference, but for some applications it may be beneficial.

Yes just about a month ago, and they were awesome. Bought a TCL 4k TV that died two days after I threw out the box. The retailer (Electronics Express) was awesome as well. I was worried at first because it took Rakuten a bit to get back to me when I asked how to return TV. Once I reached someone it was the best return process I have even gone through in a very long time. Rakuten said to deal with the retailer but to contact them if there was any issue at all. Then they called me back like 4 times to make sure everything was going ok on the return. They had a ticket going and knew exactly what I told them the last time they called.

Electronics express was just as good. The girl on the phone walked me through exactly how they handle returns with very detailed instructions about what to do and not to do. It was easy and straightforward. They bent their policy on returning items without a box without me even asking. We agreed that I would purchase a new TV and then put the defective one in the box of the new one. I didn't trust them at first so I had it put in writing. She sent me exactly what we talked about in less than one hour via email for my records. They did exactly what they said they would do and even paid to have the TV shipped back to them.

For what its worth I've installed hundreds of samsung ssds and haven't had one fail yet. I occasionally use ocz Intel pny and some others and I've had about 8 failures total with the other brands. For important data I would recommend going samsung.
