I really loved Shadow of Mordor. I have not played this one as I heard there were a lot of microtransactions, which, being a slickdealer, I am obviously not a fan of. However, this is the lowest I have seen Shadow of War. Honestly, I am on the fence--I did not see an advert on SD, but saw elsewhere, waited a while. Anyways, here it is. BTW, long time follower--first post, go easy...

It has an 80 on metacritic. Sounds like a tanked game to me. 😒

I had fun with this game on the PS4 and didn't feel like the mocro transactions were obtrusive or needed for the game up until the endgame. I will say the game suffers from 'more of the same' and is not as great as the first one, but still good. They are changing the game to remove all microtransactions and rebalance the end game which will be a huge improvement. The bad news is that the update is scheduled for July 17th.

They're getting rid of all microtransactions in the game in a June-July update. Update will also address grindy end game.

Finished the game and didn't need microtransactions, in game currency was sufficient. But got very grinds toward the end.

Solid 7.5/10. Good game, not a great.

Micro-transactions aren't needed to have fun and finish the game. I believe that they are actually going to be completely removing micro-transactions soon.

Season pass content isn't super worth it, reviews are average. But it depends on what you prefer ultimately. From reviews, it's pretty lackluster

Surprised this game is still priced so high, it was flooding the market from the Doritos Xbox promotion this was the least wanted game and was selling for about $20 with copies everywhere, then it was $25 on Black Friday, by now I'd think it'd be under $20 unless it was a GOTY version.
