For those interested, it's worth noting that Apple have throttled these old devices so hard (currently on one). My 6s Plus freezes daily and it's super frustrating. Even despite taking advantage of the $29 battery replacement last month. Something to keep in mind.

Most unlocked iPhone 6s will be either A1633 or A1688. They both have all of the same bands and support CDMA, except the A1633 has the addition of LTE Band 30; primarily used on AT&T currently.

It's when you start getting into iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone X that you start having phones that aren't compatible with CDMA completely.

https://willmyphonework.net/ says the 6s (with the exception of the china model) is indeed unlocked for all carriers
